Central Asia Resources Limited (ASX: CVR) is focused on exploration, development and production of gold in Kazakhstan.
The Company has one gold mining operation (Dalabai mine) and three exploration project prospects: Altyntas, Kepken and Kengir, with a total Resource of 1.28M ounces of gold. All projects are held in Joint Venture with a Kazakhstan company; Kazakhstan-Australia LLZ ("KAZ"), which holds 10% of the Dalabai Operation and 5% of the other Projects.

Kazakhstan, in the north of central Asia, is bordered by Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, China, Russia, Turkmenistan and the Caspian Sea. It is about the same size as Western Australia, covering an area of 2.7 million square kilometres, with a population of about 16 million people.
The country has a Standard and Poor’s Credit Rating of ‘BBB’ or ‘investment grade’. Kazakhstan is resource rich, a top 10 producer of chrome, copper, gold, iron, lead, silver, uranium, zinc, and a significant oil producer. It has a well established mining industry and a stable regulatory environment.
