Altyntas Prospect

The Altyntas prospect is hosted in a quartz stockwork style mineralisation within dyke-form intrusive bodies of diorite-porphyrites. The host sediments and dykes exhibit moderate to strong chlorite and epidote alteration. The gold mineralisation is associated with pyrite and arsenopyrite associated with quartz veining.

Altyntas has exceeded the expectations of Central Asia with a maiden Inferred Resource of 287,000oz announced in March 2008. Highlight results presented on the drill plan below. Mineralisation remains open at depth and on both southern and northern arms of the anticlinal fold.

Central Asia intends to focus substantial attention on the Altyntas prospect. An intensive drilling campaign in 2008/2009 will support the development a feasibility studies in 2009. Central Asia expect Altyntas to be the first of its large deposits to go into production.
