The Company's Projects
OVERVIEW OF KAZAKHSTAN PROJECTS
Central Asia has acquired an indirect interest in the Joint Ventures which hold the Licences and which include the Kepken, Altyntas, Kengir and Uenke-Bulak projects. The total area covered by the Licences is approximately 3,200km² and the various Projects throughout the Licences have been estimated by the previous owners to conceptually contain in excess of one million ounces. The Project areas are close to Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan and have adequate road, rail and telecommunication infrastructure.

All Projects were the subject of exploration by Soviet workers from the 1960s to the mid-1990s. Since the mid 1990s Moonstone and Palmerston have completed several diamond drilling programs and regional geochemical exploration and mapping programs.
In July 2006 Central Asia commenced a two year exploration programme including an infill drilling and extensional program to validate historical drilling data and produce resources consistent with the JORC Code guidelines. JORC compliant values totalling 801,000 oz Au equivalent (Indicated and Inferred) are now available for Kepken, Altyntas, Kengir and Uenke Bulak.
